How a Charlotte 3PL Warehouse Turned Urgency Into a Competitive Advantage

How a 3PL Warehouse Built a Culture of Urgency

At Cargo Integrated Logistics in North Carolina, the workday moves with purpose. The sound of forklifts, quick conversations, and phones ringing all reflect a team that values responsiveness. For the Cargo logistics team, urgency is about speed, reliability, and ownership.

Robert Setzer has been with the company for over 25 years. He says that sense of accountability defines the way they serve clients. “Our customers trust us with their business,” he explains. “Their success depends on us doing our part, and that means responding fast every time.”

That expectation has shaped how the company operates across as a leading 3PL in the Carolinas. Clients know that when they call, someone will answer. When they have a need, it will be met before the day ends.

The “Sundown Rule” and Why It Matters for Warehouse Distribution

The team often talks about something they call the “sundown rule.” It’s a simple idea: no customer question should go unanswered by the end of the day. That standard drives how people communicate and how problems get solved.

Setzer remembers a recent example. A client needed to complete a quarterly inventory before restarting production, but their inventory control specialist couldn’t make it in. Rather than delay, the Cargo Integrated team handled the entire process themselves so the client’s line could start on time. “We didn’t leave until everything was finished,” Setzer says. “They needed it done, so we got it done.”

This attitude is what keeps Cargo Integrated Logistics known across North Carolina as a dependable 3PL warehouse partner. Clients stay because they know someone will take responsibility.

A 3PL Warehouse That Does It Right the First Time

Speed is only valuable when it comes with accuracy. Inside the warehouse, precision is a point of pride. The team relies on systems like Zethcon to track inventory, shipments, and movement through each facility. Setzer says the process works best when everyone follows it exactly as designed. “You use the system correctly, and everything falls into place,” he explains. “You do it once and do it right.”

That mindset creates consistency. Every order moves the same way through the Charlotte 3PL warehouse facility, and customers know what to expect. It’s a form of discipline that allows urgency to work in their favor.

A Logistics Team Positioned to Serve

Many of the employees at Cargo Integrated Logistics have worked together for years. Some have spent most of their careers under the same roof, building trust that carries into every client interaction.

“We don’t have the turnover most companies deal with,” Robert Setzer says. “People stick around because they care about each other and about the customers.”

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, often heading to the lake or taking a motorcycle ride when the weather’s nice. That balance between hard work and family time reflects the kind of steady, grounded people who make Cargo Integrated what it is.
